L.A. METRO

The Los Angeles Metro or MTA
[ Metropolitan Transit Authority ]

Either you've
1. taken it a few times
2. didn't know it existed
3. or are extremely horrified of it

My route has only consisted of taking the Metrolink train to Union Station and taking the Gold Line to Old Town Pasadena. Gotta love Colorado Street and the Rose Bowl Flea Market! I would not dare take the blue or green line just for what I've heard so basically I'll break it down in the easiest way possible. Mind you this is just from "word of mouth."

Red Line-  Tourists and whatnot
Blue Line-  Lack off a better word, Ghetto
Green Line- same as above
Gold Line- It's whatever

It's not as bad as it seems, but any transportation is better than no transportation! Living in California you definitely need a car to get around, but I sure do miss the London Underground and enjoyed it much more than the LA metro system.

GENIUNE SURRENDER

Genuine surrender says, "Father, if this problem, pain, sickness, or circumstance is needed to fulfill your purpose and glory in my life or in another's life, please don't take it away."

You know you're surrendered to God when you rely on God to work things out instead of trying to manipulate others, force your agenda, and control the situation. You let go and let God work. You don't have to always be in charge. Instead of trying harder, you trust more.

You also know you're surrendered when you don't react to criticism and rush to defend yourself.

This level of maturity doesn't come easy. Surrender is hard work. In our case, it requires intense warfare against our self-centered nature.
